Funny how things go, how eyes open by degrees... Mine slowly passing 360 and I'm wondering where that leaves me... A purchase arrived today, 2 CD's on 1, Guadalcanal Diary's first two albums, from 1985 and 1986. Prominent on the back: www.oldies.com . . . So yeah... ok. Won't be long before something from last year is a classic, I guess. With increasing numbers of gray hairs (but decreasing overall number of hairs), my day is coming. I may already be passe. If I wasn't always such anyway... Ignorant and oblivious more than anything else. So even now, I'm wearing the same belt I've worn for the past 14 years... same non-fashion sense of t-shirt and some kind of pants, all-terrain Chucks... flannel on top if it's chilly, just as it's been...since middle school, pre-grunge...I've been pre-empted. But whatever. Eyes open despite what covers these scrawny bones and what anyone might think. Always seems to hurt, bright light I'm never used to and every extra angle is a pain, though I crave... Crave even the feeling itself, living on lows and highs, while the medium is a constant sense of the underlying perfection of changes.
